The All-in-One Cosmetic

I always knew that my make-up to some extent probably contained chemicals that are harmful, but never took it seriously. Well not seriously enough to change my make-up brands. And now 3 years later after my ordeal I am in shock how many harmful toxic chemicals there are in make-up and what these toxic chemicals can do to our bodies. Scary stuff.

In fact, one of the biggest toxic industries is make-up. Layers and layers of toxic make-up we add to our faces every day. Did you know that 60% of what you put onto your skin is absorbed into our bloodstream within 26 seconds? Do you ever check the ingredient list at the back of your cosmetic product? Do you know what to look for?  I recently found out how much lead and mercury is in make-up. Anything from foundations, to lipstick, lip-gloss, eyeliners and powders, and that’s only heavy metals. If you haven’t watched “toxic beauty” yet, you should definitely see it.

Using a ton of different products on your face is never a good idea either, even if the products are non-toxic and organic. Our beautiful skin needs balance and that means also balance in the number of products we use on our skin daily. More doesn’t mean better – in my opinion.

I have very little products in my make-up bag. Going as natural as possible is best for me. However one of them is “All over Colour” by (M)anasi7. Absolute genius product that can be applied on lips, cheeks and eyes. It is easy and adds a beautiful natural warmth and glow. (www.manasi7.com)
